Pan Card Application - Applying for a Pan Card

Getting a Pan card is an simple and easy process, there is no need to hire agents to get Pan card. To get a Pan card, a person simply has to: Fill in the Pan card application form which is referred  to as Form 49A and Form 49AA Form 49A is for Indian nationals and Form 49AA is for Foreign citizens, for example all foreigners of India origin who require a Pan card. The current fee, effective from April 1, 2012, for PAN application has changed to Rupees 96 for applications where Pan is mailed to an Indian address and to Rupees 962, if mailing address of Pan card is outside India.

Download from the Income Tax Department website www.incometaxindia.gov.in  or the NSDL website (www.tin-nsdl.com). 3. While having two Pan numbers is illegal, a person who requires changes or corrections to their pan can get their Pan cards replaced.
